The Board of Directors of Co-Mo Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for the position of General Manager/CEO. This position also serves as the President of the fiber-to-the-home subsidiary, Co-Mo Connect.

Co-Mo Electric Cooperative is a financially strong, member-owned, electric distribution cooperative serving over 32,000 meters with 109 full-time employees and has implemented vast technological improvements to improve efficiencies and member service. The Cooperative operates 4,000 miles of electric distribution line within its 2,300-square mile service territory. The fiber-to-the-home subsidiary offers television, telephone and internet service and has over 16,000 subscribers currently receiving service.  Co-Mo Electric is a member of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, NRECA and is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative.

The General Manager/CEO is responsible for providing strategic leadership by working with the Board of Directors and executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies of the Cooperative as well as Co-Mo Connect.  The successful candidate will possess a high degree of ethical conduct, moral standards and confidentiality with competencies in strategic planning and thinking, project management, business acumen, proven leadership, results-driven, financial management, problem solving and excellent collaboration skills. Candidate must possess a strong commitment to and proven track record of ensuring safe working environment for all employees by implementing a safety program that eliminates or controls hazardous working conditions. Broad utility management experience including strategic planning, finance, operations, member communications, board and employee relations is required.

Position requires at least ten years of experience in the electric utility industry with at least four of these years in progressive management positions preferably within the rural electric program.

An understanding and respect of cooperative principles and business model is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management is preferred.
